DR. KIM CHRONISTER
Dr. Kim Chronister is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, author, and media commentator. She earned a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Alliant International University (CSPP).
Dr. Chronister has extensive experience utilizing dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with clients struggling with eating disorders, relationship issues, substance use disorders, anxiety, and depression. She also utilizes motivational interviewing (MI) to help clients regain motivation to engage in healthy behaviors to decrease stress and improve mood. She uses a strength-based approach and focuses on strengths of individuals and couples rather than pathology.
As a respected expert in the field of clinical psychology, Dr. Kim Chronister has been asked to comment on such subjects as substance abuse, relationships, eating disorders, and issues related to sexuality for respected magazines, radio shows, and documentaries. Her passion for psychology is evidenced in her contributions and appearances in Women’s Health Magazine, Livestrong, The National Psychologist, NPR, and Yahoo News among numerous other media outlets. She is the author of “The Psychology Behind Fitness Motivation” and the best-selling book on Amazon “FitMentality”. She treats clients in her private practice struggling with mood disorders, substance use, and anxiety disorders in Beverly Hills, California.
Sarah Dewey, PsyD -Clinical Associate/Therapist
Dr. Sarah Dewey is a Clinical Forensic Psychologist. She obtained her doctoral degree from Alliant International University (CSFS). She has worked in array of mental health and addiction facilities. Her clinical skills consist of working with individuals that struggle with psychological, emotional, and behavioral health disorders; as well as individuals that struggle with substance abuse. Dr. Sarah has provided therapeutic consultations with many populations including adolescents, adults, seniors, and LGBTQ community. Dr. Sarah has an extensive background working with trauma. She also utilizes psychological testing to better understand individuals and make the appropriate therapeutic adjustments. In relations to uniqueness of each situations, Dr. Sarah tailors to the needs and the goals of each individual to develop an individualistic treatment experience. Dr. Sarah assists and supports individuals to build their own foundation that suites them best; as well as encourages self-exploration to develop one’s own self-identity.
Dr. Sarah utilizes an extensive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy approach to assist individuals with decreasing emotional and psychological distress. Dr. Sarah’s treatment model is designed to assist individuals to understand their cognitive thought processing abilities and to encourage self-exploration. Dr. Sarah employs a compassionate and straight forward therapeutic technique that helps individuals to find their inner strengths to overcome life stressors. Josh Dunne RADT1 & CADACI-Clinical Associate
Josh Dunne is a Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician (RADT1) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor Intern (CADACI) and has worked in the field of mental health, psychology, and addiction since 2010. Josh has had experience with several diverse populations. He has worked at Visions Adolescent Treatment Center with young men and women ranging from ages thirteen to seventeen. Josh has also worked with adult men and women at a residential treatment center as a primary counselor, group facilitator, and relapse preventionist. The group criteria he facilitated included emotion regulation and management, impulse control, interpersonal connection development, family dynamics, and coping skills for crisis management. With Josh’s well-rounded experience regarding the diverse populations, he brings a unique perspective to our clientele and the people involved with them during therapeutic interaction.
